Nova Scotia Vacation - 2003

Our trip in July of 2003 to Nova Scotia was great.  We flew into Halifax an drove the next morning along the Cabot Trail to the Lantern and Hollow Cottages in Ingonish on the eastern side of Cape Breton.  Nova Scotia is a very pretty and lightly populated Province, I think we came across 5 traffic lights on our entire trip.  During the next 4 days we hiked throughout the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.  We especially enjoyed the Coastal Trail just south of Neil's Harbor.  After our time in Cape Breton, we drove to New Glasglow and stopped for the night.  The next day, we continued to drive to Parrsboro which is on one edge of the Bay of Fundy.  The Bay of Fundy has some of the greatest tidal differences in the world.  You can actually follow the flow of the water as it recedes and returns.  While in Parrsboro, we participated in Dino Days, collected fossils in Joggins, and saw Aselin Debison who was performing at the Ship's Theatre, walking distance of our B&B.  The people are extremely friendly and Nova Scotia was beautiful.  We should have planned more time so that we could have visited more of the Province.  Maybe next time.
