Atlanta
This year the competition was held in the The Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel located downtown Atlanta Georgia. We were on the 43 floor of the Westin which has 73 floors and over 1000 rooms. The SEC Football championships were also occurring at the same time so the hotel was completely booked. At times there were no elevators available with enough space for the 4 of us. Many times, we had to stick the kid into the elevator to make their way down to their competition and we would eventually make it down to them. Courtney placed 8th in her 8 hand Ceili Dance (8 girls dancing together) and Christopher was First again in his solo competition, Boys Under 12 where he competed against 12 other boys. This is Chris' 5th straight year placing first. Courtney placed 61st out of 110 girls.
